Dance Studio Teaching

1997-present• Provided dance instruction in beginning, intermediate, and master levels for adults and children in Los Angeles and Austin.
• Classes included Flexibility, Bellates (a fusion of Ballet, Yoga, Pilates, and Belly dance), Experimental dance, Composition, and Middle Eastern dance.
• Theatrical and experimental classes explored choreographic processes and tools, such as narrative and non-narrative structures; fusion techniques; and relationships among movement, music, and meaning.
• Middle Eastern dance classes stressed a strong foundational technique through combinations of choreography, improvisation, solo, and group work.
• Lead reading groups on dance and dance pedagogy.
